Police have arrested two former leaders of the banned organization Chhatra League in a murder case in Satkhira. They were arrested from the Bakchara area of the city’s bypass road on Friday (January 24) night.
Among those arrested are Tanvir Hossain Sujan, former president of Satkhira District Chhatra League and former vice chairman of Satkhira Sadar Upazila Parishad, and Sheikh Ehsan Habib Ayan, former general secretary of District Chhatra League and general secretary of District Swechchhasebak League.
This information was confirmed by Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Satkhira Sadar Police Station Shaminul Islam.
OC Shaminul Islam said that they have been arrested in the Jhaudanga Bazar Hafizur murder case and an investigation is currently underway against them. Other details of the case will be announced later.
