Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Assistant Secretary General Maulana Muhammad Shahjahan has commented that Sheikh Hasina is trying to create unrest in peaceful Bangladesh from India and that she has implemented India’s agenda while in power. He also said that if the Awami League government had worked for the welfare of the people of the country, they would not have had to flee Bangladesh.
Maulana Shahjahan mentioned that the Awami League has fled repeatedly, and this time too, it has happened. He said that Sheikh Hasina used to proudly say that the Awami League never flees.
On Saturday (February 1) afternoon, Maulana Shahjahan addressed the workers’ conference of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Lama Upazila branch as the chief guest. Jamaat-e-Islami, Bandarban District Ameer SM Abduch Salam Azad, Chittagong Region Team Member Professor Zafar Sadeq, former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Chakaria Upazila Maulana Chaber Ahmed and other leaders also spoke on the occasion.
Maulana Shahjahan further said that the people of Bangladesh have been freed from the Awami regime after 16 years and he told the nation that no ruler has been able to establish peace in Bangladesh in 53 years. He told the current government that if they fail to provide a humane Bangladesh and fair elections, then the people will also hold them to account.
He said that the people of Bangladesh believe that Jamaat-e-Islami is capable of providing a humane Bangladesh and that is why there is a lot of love for Jamaat-e-Islami among the people.
