Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has described the horrific night of the attack. He gave a detailed account of what happened inside the house that night to the Bandra police station.
According to an Indian media report, Saif said in his statement that he grabbed the attacker from behind. At that time, the assailant was trying to free himself and while trying to do so, he started stabbing Saif indiscriminately with a sharp knife.
The actor said that the family members and the housekeeper were terrified that night. Hearing Jehar’s screams, he first came downstairs and saw an unidentified person fighting with his son’s nanny, Iliam Philip. He quickly saved her by grabbing the assailant from behind.
Saif said, “Kareena and my sons were scared when they saw so much blood coming out of my body. They quickly arranged for me to be sent to the hospital.”
The actor further said, “We came downstairs after hearing Jehar’s screams. Our two sons live downstairs, along with their nanny and maids. When we went there, we saw an unknown person fighting with the son’s nanny. He had a sharp knife in his hand. Realizing the danger, I grabbed him from behind.”
Saif’s description, “At that moment, I was hit. He stabbed me in the back, neck and hand. Even though the grip was loose, the assailant could not get out of my reach. Finally, I somehow locked him in a room.
