Roumari Police have arrested a drug dealer with 40 bottles of Phensedyl in Roumari. He was arrested from the Phuluarchar boat dock in Bandaber Union of the upazila at around 6 pm on Friday (January 24).
The name of the arrested person is Shahidul Islam (35), he is the son of Ismail Hossain of Char Gap village in Madarganj upazila of Jamalpur district. Roumari Police Station OC Md. Lutfar Rahman confirmed this information.
Officer-in-charge of Roumari Police Station Lutfar Rahman said that the anti-drug campaign has been continued since he took charge. A case has been filed against the arrested drug dealer under the Narcotics Control Act and he will be sent to the Kurigram court tomorrow.
