Police have arrested 12 people in Chittagong for allegedly carrying out a robbery by posing as members of the Intelligence Bureau (DB). The incident took place at a residential building in the city’s Khulshi area around 11:30 am on Friday (January 24).
Police said that the robbers had planned to attack the house of a retired official of Jamuna Oil Group located on the eighth floor of the building. But their attempt was foiled, and when the police were informed, they went to the spot and arrested 12 people. Fake DB identity cards and various equipment were recovered from them. The process of filing a case in this incident is underway.
