Three drug dealers have been arrested along with foreign liquor in a raid by the Sunamganj District Detective Branch (DB) police.
The arrested are Abdullah Al Mamun (20) of Aktapara area of Bishwambharpur upazila of the district, Junaid Ahmed (20) of West Majertek area and Manik Mia (20) of Ratargaon area.
Based on a secret information, a team of DB police conducted a raid in Sadargarh Ali Bazar area under Sunamganj Sadar Police Station at 9:30 pm on Thursday (January 23). The raid was conducted by SI Tanjir Ahmed, who was accompanied by ASI Dibas Chandra Das, Constable Adilur Rahman and Constable Farid Mia.
22 bottles of Indian brand AC BLACK liquor were recovered from the arrested persons in the raid. In addition, an unregistered Bajaj Platina motorcycle used for transporting drugs was also seized.
ASI Dibas Chandra Das of Sunamganj District Detective Branch (DB) Police said that a case has been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act at Sunamganj Sadar Model Police Station. Later, they were sent to the learned court.
